Version 1.6.3


It's been a while since I updated this project, but now as I played it with my friend I got some inspiration to do more with it.

So here is the shortly written list of what's new.

 

      •  Added autosave. Game saves automatically, you can close it and continue whenever, as long as your data is safe. If you want to reset your run, delete all your data or get killed in the game :)
      • Added mute button. You can now mute the game in pause menu.
      • Added a way to expand the log. In the pause menu, the log drops down a little for easier reading.
      • Added a new enemy.
      • Added more monster sprites. Little more variation.
      • Added two new bosses. If you can call them that.
      • Added a new achievement. 
      • Added a whole lot of new text based events, some new random events and interactions with items. 
      • Reworked how the flavor text is shown and added so much flavor text. You will just have to work a little for it.
      • Fixed minor bugs in text.
      • Fixed (hopefully) the achievement bug where it displays wrong graphic for the achievement. 
      • Fixed "a bug" where attacking the creature disables your buttons, soft-locks you. That is unless you press the pause menu which enables them again.

      Admittedly, that is all that I can remember from the top of my head. Admittedly x2, I probably didn't test this well enough so for all I know it will explode. But we will see. I actually had to think a lot about the autosave, as in if I should add it. I myself ran into the problem of having my game reset when I tried to leave it open for couple of hours, so many runs lost. But it was worrisome if it kinda fought against the whole point of the game? But we will see. Because I did add the save feature, I also tried space out things and add more events and interesting things beyond the 1 thousand meters mark. But again, we will see. I did spend ridiculous amount of time messing up my code to add those two bosses, although they are more like "special encounters", but while I was at it, I also added one controversial enemy! Lot of these things were something I debated with myself if I should, but I did. I'm not sorry though. :P


      Anyways, that's the update. I'm done with this project for a while now. I can't spend 3 days in  a row obsessively coding a game like this lol. If major horror happens and the game explodes I will be fixing it if I can lol.
